Excerpt: "Is this finally a salve to our working-mother-guilt?  The most recent Early Years Study in Canada recommends that children as young as two years old can not only handle in-school programs, but will likely benefit from them.  The authors point to considerable research showing that children who attend a good early-childhood program perform better on standardized tests throughout their education and are more likely to graduate from high school.  The main message from this study is to get ‘em early in order to maximize their development."
