Newfoundland admits child care needs more

Excerpt: Charlene Johnson, the minister responsible for child and family services, is responding to a national report that indicates Newfoundland is last in the country when it comes to early childhood education. Johnson says addressing child-care issues in the province doesn't necessarily mean child-care spaces need to be created for every child with parents in the workforce. As well, she says government is exploring whether or not there needs to be a regulated wage for early childhood educators.
