Excerpt: "Some parents are urging the provincial government to take action after a national report about early childhood education released Tuesday ranked Newfoundland and Labrador last in the country. Vanessa Winsor of St. John's told CBC News that she's recently been forced into becoming a stay-at-home mother after she wasn't able to find child care in the city for her son. "I recently stopped working because I didn't have a sitter. My husband started working three weeks on, three weeks off out of the country, and I don't have anybody to look after him," said Winsor."
