Undermining parents

Excerpt: "They talk a good game about early learning being optional and voluntary. But I’ll bet the latest study on the subject by Margaret Norrie McCain and the late Fraser Mustard — who died last week — will only add to a growing, not-so-subtle message that when it comes to small children, parents have little to contribute, other than producing the wee suckers and handing them over to the state once they’re weaned. This one, called Early Years Study 3, also co-authored by daycare advocate Kerry McCuaig, says all Canadian kids should be able to head off to government-funded preschool as early as two years old.
